yeah the fillers are annoying but the non fillers like "enter sandman" and "nothing else matters" are just as good as the master of puppets tracks.

Nah AFJA didn't have filler tracks, the songs are just very long with a lot of heavy riffing, creating the illusion of filler, but i do agree that some of the riffing does go on too long just to prolong the overall running time. AFJA is definately my favourite 'Tallica album. This Message Edited On 04.20.06

How does this album have a rating of only 4.2 . It's by far their best album. There's some good metal songs in there, but there's also some lighter songs more classical songs to show that there more than just a band with power chords and fast solos. Speaking of the solos, they were flawless, especially the one from NEM and the Unforgiven both just completing the song and the huge bends in both gave them a really emotional feel. The solos in MFOM were also genius with great use of the wah pedal i think this album should be up around 4.7 considering that Master of Puppets has 4.6 and this album definetly beats that one.

gah! where do I start?

1. It is no where near their best.

2. There is no "good metal". its more watered down than fast-food soda.

3. Of course the solos were flawless! They were all short and slow. They were good, but I know kids who can play this album "flawless" faster than metallica does.

4. This album is no where near as good as Master of the Puppets. MoP is THE best album in existence. This album is where Metallica starts sounding like nu metal.

And nu metal = shit = Korn, mudvaine, This Message Edited On 04.22.06

Nah Black Album isn't Nu-Metal. if anything St. Anger was the closest to Nu-Metal that Metallica got. Black Album is just Metal.. not speed, not thrash... just metal. Master of Puppets probably was their best album although i liekd And Justice For All better.

Ok, first off i may have exagerated some when i said "this album is by far their best". It's not by far their best but in my opinion its still their best. ok now, get your facts straight not every solo was slow. Example solo from enter sandman was quite fast, also so was the solo from Through The Never. And yes Master Of Puppets is a very good album, but i really doubt is "THE best album in existence". I smell fanboy on you. There is so much other music to take into consideration when you say "THE best album in existence". examples "Appetite FOr Destruction", "Houses Of The Holy", "Zeppelin II" the list goes on. Also on "MOP" there a few songs i wasn't really pleased with, for example "Disposable Heroes" the intro dragged on for far too long. the singing wasn't great. The only good part of that song was the solo, in my opinion. Also, "more watered down than fast food" terrible analogy. It makes no sense. THERE'S NO WATER IN FOOD. A better analogy would've been more watered down the wine at church, because they add holy water. This Message Edited On 04.22.06This Message Edited On 04.22.06This Message Edited On 04.22.06

This album isn't overrated, has no fillers, and metallica did not sell out with this album. it has gotten a lot of air play which gets people sick of it, but by no means lowers the standards of how great this album is.

master of puppets is still their best.

metallica didnt sell out on this album, if they sold out on any it would be st. anger, also the black album is not nu-metal AT ALL!!!!! the only metallica album remotely like nu-metal is St. Anger, but even then that is nothing like mudvayne or koRn!!!

I couldn't get into this much. Some tasty stuff, but some of the meaty numbers were a little, well, undercooked. Sorry, I really wanted to continue the food analogies.

I think the only reason alot of people don't like this is because it's different than their older stuff. But those people need to learn to try new things. Metallica's old work cajun wings and people liked it. This is more like Mild wings. It's not quite as spicy but still tastes good.

That one wasn't very good. But food analogies are still funThis Message Edited On 04.29.06This Message Edited On 04.29.06

that was pretty pointless^. You could've just said I give every song on this album a 5. Also, not every song on here deserves a 5, in my opinion
