Progressive leaning alt-rock act The Dear Hunter continue their ambitious concept based releases with 'Act II: The Meaning of, and All Things Regarding Ms. Leading'. At double the length of Act I, the now quartet push their creative boundaries even further, with Act II being both heavier & poppier than its predecessor at different stages. The numerous tempo & genre switches are well-produced to take full advantage of the diverse instrumentation used, while it is a deceptively accessible LP if you discount the 77 minute length which does result in some sections of filler. Recommended Tracks: Red Hands, The Lake and The River, Dear Ms. Leading & The Procession.

I might agree with you Omaha, but to be fair I haven't been really listening to these guys for more than a few weeks.
Such decisions require time.

Well fuck.
I think Act III is better written; it's much more concise in length but just as dense and varied as Act II. But I mean...this has The Lake and the River (the first six minutes at least...) and goddamned Red Hands which is so great.

"Red Hands is the best song ever."
This. Well actually it's a toss up between "Red Hands" and "No God". Both by The Dear Hunter
