Ya this pretty much sums up why a lot of "could've been great" metal goes downhill - it's so lazily done to get people excited about how heavy it sounds but fails to be interesting when you really get into it. That being said, the strong production and energy on this album does fulfill a guilty pleasure for me sometimes.
