Enslaved's debut album is one of the most atmospheric black metal albums i've ever heard. You have the symphonic passages in each song spanning over 10 minutes, and then used with the melodic guitar work. The closing instrumental is proof that the band were very much forward-thinking at the time of its release, and although their latter material fares better, it is only because the band have got even better with each album.

^ Words of truth... somewhat.
This is truly kickass, very aesthetic for a black/viking metal album. Even if Frost is great this owns that album by quite some.
