hmmm from what i can tell good pop album bad hip hop album

Um...what?

What the hell are you thinking? This isn't a hip-hop album at all, so you can't call it a bad hip-hop album.

this is a good review, although looking at my score (and review) we have differing viewpoints.

I have to admit it's not his most radio friendly album and the ad-libbed lyrics on Robocop (You must be joking / Or else you must be smoking etc) sound weak. All that aside this album impresses immensely because of its highly experimental nature. Kanye West defined himself here as an extremely versatile studio musician. To quote Lil Wayne:

"Do I love the music that's out right now? I love it with a passion. Does it motivate me? Not one bit. That's because 808s & Heartbreak isn't out yet."

Now I am motivated.
