As for the users on this site not thinking for themselves, I take personal offense to that, lol. Due to the "hyped" albums on this site, I have found by far some of the best music I have ever come across. But that's not to say I always agree. I think "Second Stage Turbine Blade" and "The Crane Wife" are ridiculously overrated, and I bought them with the anticipation of them being wonderful, as Sputnik told me they were. To each his own I guess...

That's where musical taste comes in. Personally SSTB is one of my favorite overhyped albums on here :P But yeah I agree with you. I never would have checked out a lot of amazing music if Sputnik didn't recommend it. I disagree with a lot of the overhyped albums as well.

"Feel Good Drag" brings it down for me because having associated the track with an earlier record it kinda takes away from the New Surrender freshness

You fail to mention their best cd, 'blueprings for the black market' in your review. You can't talk about the manifestation of their sound without mentioning this album.

this album is swell but Cities is really their best. Just the songs on Cities are so skill. They all have super awesome endings/climaxes.

Okay I was a little harsh to rate this album a one, but I truly don't understand what is so great about this album, I honestly cannot listen to one song all the way through, and I'm not trying to be mean but I don't know what is, And Stephen Christian's vocals are weak to me (Don't get me wrong he's not horrible in any way, but he's not that strong of a vocalist either!) I've tried to like this album because of all the good reviews but I just can't....Sorry!This Message Edited On 10.03.08

^then give it a mediocre rating if its "not horrible"
a 1 is dramatic

Feel Good Drag is really fucking good, I don't know how you can not sit through that song.

Maybe you should take some Ritalin or something.

For once he's right. I might have to raise my rating for this and Cities though, they're both so good.

Every time I listen to the new "Feel Good Drag" I wish they'd left the screaming in it...oh well
