Favorites are Autumn Leaves Revisited, The Lovesong Writer, At This Velocity, Into The Blinding Light, and either Running Through the Rain or We Will Overcome. Album has some really nice ideas but after giving this my first proper listen in quite awhile, it lacks some umf. Still, it's really cool to know that they eventually polish this sound into No Devolucion.

First Thursday. Back half of this is one banger after another, rating could climb.

This is like post-punk Thursday and it rules

Common Existence is the best tho

Yeah I definitely got some post-punk vibes from here. After hearing this I'm not surprised that Geoff eventually went on to form a post-punk band

This one definitely has that vibe more than their other albums. Pretty sure Geoff Rickly hs always cited old-school post-punk as a major influence, the first Thursday album straight up has a track called Ian Curtis

His other obvious influence is 90s screamo which really comes out in the album after this. Makes sense because the band had recently done a split with envy

Counting 5-4-3-2-1 is so weakkk and Arc-Lamps adds nothing to the album for me

not to mention the demo versions of these songs are better imo

no devolucion is best
