I love Cryptopsy with a passion, but they are starting to look a bit past their use-by date. I probably won't be picking this album up, I have yet to hear anything good about it.

I don't see how you can say something like that, but whatever. I didn't even hear the two leaked songs until the entire album was posted, and I gave it the low rating. So piss off.
You read any other reviews for this album? I haven't seen any positive comments like, at all. This review might as well be praising it (see: so-so category) compared to most reviews. People would probably eat this up like they've been eating up all of the bullshit Cryptopsy has been putting out since after None So Vile had a) the new keyboard chick not joined and b) those 2 tracks hadn't leaked.

Most people just aren't DiSalvo fans.

Well, from listening to the samples on amazon, I can say that this cd is horrible and I won't be picking it up. Personally, just for the record, I think Mike DiSalvo was a better vocalist than Lord Worm. This Message Edited On 06.29.08

I think the new guy would actually be all right if he was in a different band. I like his high screams.

Sorry, to me, that counts as awful. Flo's drumming was top notch as always, though; wish he was not such a pompous tool about it.

His drumming on here is pretty much your standard death metal affair. There's nothing that exciting from Flo here. By now we all know he's fast as motherfuck.

Yeah I was never that into "None so Vile" but this album (or the few songs that I was unfortunate enough to hear) make it look like golden things of prodigious value.... or something. Great review though!

I think you should relisten to None So Vile dude. I didn't like it on my first few listens, but now I love it and it's one of my favorite death metal albums.

Alrighty. I just saw this band last night at Summer Slaughter and heres my thoughts.

The vocalist can kiss my ass. Terrible lows and if he says "come on" and shakes his fingers at me one more time during a set i will choke him.

Bassists and Drums are top notch. Flo doesnt screw up. Hes a d-bag...but i love him.

The chick wasn't there? Not sure what that was about but she wasnt so they didnt have any clean vocals in their set.

They played Crown of Horns with practically no vocals. Dude growled like 3 times and then just spent the rest of the song headbanging his long flowing hair. Seriously...fuck him. he looks like my sister from the back.
