If this is just meant to be a description of popular music, then bear in mind that roughly half of the songs on this album are more harmonically complex than your average J.S. Bach composition.

Well, clicking on reviews from the forums doesn't show the rating...
Sure, it was simple (not as much as he said, but still somewhat simplistic), but writing something simple that sounds this good is just as hard as writing something a symphony. Breaking out of that "oh, we've heard this before" rut with simple song and chord structures is nigh impossible. Kudos to The Beatles for doing that.

Anyone defending this review is an idiot trying to look open minded. If his reasoning is that it's not as complex as Bach then obviously he does not enjoy any mainstream work, and this review is completely pointless.
