Seriously, why would you think it was satanic?

They are actually christian, I believe. Read the lyrics to "Chapter Four" from waking the fallen. Also their band name is from something outta the bible. Something about revenge which is one of their central themes.

About the music. On City Of Evil, the guitar work is awsome. I love it. The vocals are terrible though, but you have to consider that shadows had that thing happen with his throat.

Enough reviews of this cd. Comment on it, not review it. That's why there is both of those features.

Bat country is a horrible song and so is Burn it down. Personally I don;t like these guys at all. Too much "core" and not enough metal for my taste.

This is so much better than WTF simply because they don't scream. I really don't like screaming that much. Screaming makes me feel like I'm listening to a band with no talent. If they have to scream in their song then they obviously can't sing. I used to think A7x were just another band. I just realized how freaking wrong i was....

Im sorry but they are just another band. Exept that they have good guitarists which makes people go crazy as if they've never seen anyone who knows how to play guitar well. Every other element of the band is quite cliche IMO.

To everybody who says this album sucks and they lost innovation. Becoming less trendy =/= selling out, you're just faithless trendwhores who need to DIAF.

I don't think they lost innovation. I don't think they ever really had any.

I've been listening to this lately, and I don't think their guitarists are near as good as people make them out to be.

They definately aren't the most innovative guitarists ever, but they're really good. Innovation is a bad term concerning A7X, they're more... broad... like they play over a broad style, they didn't really create anything new, but they really did mix a lot together into a really good blend. I prefer Waking The Fallen to CoE because I just think it's more well written, not because it had 'hXc breakdowns.'
