I dont know which song I would choose... I haven't listen to this or anything else from him in so long. I dont like anything after this but I like everything before this.

This one is just nostalgic for me cause it was the first album I ever listened to high way back in the day. Good times.

How do you not talk about the lyric:

"And I was a hand grenade that never stopped exploding. You were automatic and as hollow as the "O" in God"

He was great with lyrics back in the day. Since Golden age though most of his lyrics are terrible.

GuyMan: it's "as hollow as the O in god"

this is hands-down my favorite marilyn manson album, and i own all the important ones (pre-golden age) and a couple of the newer ones. the speed of pain is probably my favorite song by them as well, i heard something about billy corgan helping out with the second half of that track but don't know enough about it to claim it fact. the production on this is still crisp over 15 years later though, that i do know.

Agreed - but the trilogy of album's that this is part of is genius. I don't say that lightly.

Don't talk nonsense.
NIN rip off - tick.
Bowie rip off - tick.
Alice Cooper rip off - tick
Style over substance - tick
Massive ego - tick
Fans who should know better - tick
Doesn't know when to pack it in - tick

I shamelessly love this record. IMO this is where Manson peaked, and I really wish he continued in this direction
