i think this album was decent but toxicity is my favourite system album, this album seems to have more riffs than toxicity but i think overall the songs arent as good

I think SOAD should try to return there style back to this.

Step #1; get rid of Dumba$$ Malakian

Step #2; replace Malakian with Buckethead

THat would make the best band ever.

acually... Just put Serj in Buckethead's band and that would be the best. I think Buckethead's bass player is better than Shavo and Darren combined.

Don't be foolish, such a lineup wouldnt be SOAD, Malakian is required for the schizophrenic essence of System

and Buckethead and Serj have actually done a song together on Buckethead and Friends, called We Are One

This happens to be one of my favorite albums ever, its so death metal in places, heavier than alot of extreme metal actually

I've never really been able to get into SOAD. their music just doesn't thrill me. Also the guitarist has got to be one of the weirdest looking people i've ever seen

Yeah, Daron is fairly strange looking. Most of my friends just refer to him as the squirly guy.

Also, Daron's ego seems to have grown enormously. He now seems to think his nasally, off-key singing is God's gift to ears. Back in '98 he seemed to understand that Serj is the vocalist, but now he's lost that concept and feels the need to take lead vocals on songs like Lonely Day, and make them suck.

darons vocals were cool on BYOB though, that part were he starts screaming "where the Fuck are you, why do we always send the poor?"

Oh, don't get me wrong. Daron's voice is great on songs like Needles, but when he takes over lead vocals, it's just.. ugly. I don't think it's ruining SOAD, but Mezmerize/Hypnotize wasn't as.. "special" as previous works. Especially Mezmerize.

^^^^ That's pretty much spot on for me, too. Except I would give Steal This Album! a 3.5, because it's a grower.
