Amazing album. The band was commercially at the top of their game and musically at a very high point.

^ Yeah, along with the live cd it's the perfect offer for those who want to remember how good 'Tallica used to be.

They also refused to face the truth when they fired Newsted without actually making any use of him throughout the years.

Newsted was on Load, Reload

Album actually kicks ass. If I was ever going to listen to Metallica again it'd be this.

As seen on Doomsday for the Deceiver, Newsted could write music, lyrics and the dude could play really well. His bass-playing on that album reminded of Steve Harris. His bass wasn't even audible on most occasions on Metallica. I'm not saying that it wasn't his fault too but Hetfield and Ulrich definitely fucked up with him.

Newsted was the ideal bassist for Metallica. After the immortal Burton of course, he was the most suitable person for the job and for many reasons too. It wasn't just his playing skills or his amazing backing vocals, but the sheer fact that he was a Metallica fan (he was wearing 'tallica t-shirts during the lives for fuck's sake). He wasn't playing for the money, but for the enjoyment he was so obviously receiving playing alongside James, Lars and Kirk. Unfortunately, he was destined to walk in Burton's shadow.

Or James and Lars were so immature and egoists to allow him to be a real member of the band.

Dave Mustaine only co wrote 6 songs that's all. The more Metellica over powered Megadeth the more rumors started Megadeth fans saying Dave wrote songs from and justice for all and Master of puppets when the only think he did for that album was cry because he wasn't in them.'
