Happy Songs For Happy People is probably my favorite. I really love Rock Action as well.

What can I say, I love dolphins.
First proper listen I've given to it in a while, probably one of the easiest 5s I've given. No one creates an atmosphere quite like them.

Agreed hard. Everyone bangs on about Godspeed and yeah their great but there's an overwhelming sense of arseyness.
These are blokes who'll expand your mind and then buy a round in down the boozer. Having said that they're Scottish so they've probabaly got short arms and deep pockets.

Godspeed are just way too pretentious, to the point where I'm put off their music.
They just seem like a good laugh, a night out with Mogwai would be a legendary pub/club crawl and a night out with Godspeed would be sitting in a front room talking about how transcendent their music is, sipping on 100 year old wine.

I'd neck the bottle and stick Helicon 1 on. One of my greatest ever tunes that.

I picked up Rave Tapes a few days ago but haven't given it a listen yet, is it good?

I love it. People poo poo it on here but it's great. The only Mog that is a bit of a slog is Rock Action but that's still fuckin unbelievable in parts.

Take Me Somewhere Nice was the first Mogwai song I ever heard, other than that I haven't given Rock Action a listen yet either.
Rave Tapes is next up in that case.

rock action > rave tapes
