I can agree with that. Only the two albums with Garm (this one and the next one) are worth a damn. The other ones aren't bad, but they're definitely not legendary or worthy of a 'supergroup', in my opinion.

It's true. Over/underrated drives me crazy and I totally fell into it with that last comment. I should have just made it clear that, for me personally, their first two albums are just leaps and bounds more enjoyable than the ones that came afterwards. Mostly because I have never been a huge fan of Simen's vocals until the latest Borknagar album.

People toss those words around so much, I feel like at this point they've lost their intended meaning anyways lol. Leaps AND bounds, wow dude! There's really nothing else like the Sham Mirrors or Sideshow Symphonies IMO. I think their latest album is them at their most stagnant, it's interesting to hear the vocals might have been its saving grace.

I'm the opposite because I much prefer Vortex in Arcturus. Garm's vocals on LMI are really eugh to me and they hold the album back.
And yeah I can agree about True North, that album feels like it's missing something and not gonna lie Voices is one of my least favorite songs from the band.
