Absolutely amazing. And no autotune anywhere near that.

"Wait...Dallas Green SUPPORTING DEATH CAB?

That's pretty much a dream for me."

SAME HOLY CRAP. I just pictured a Green/Gibbard acoustic duet. Om nom nom

this is a pretty kick ass album. personally i dont like the production style but i can see what they were going for. i guess i just personally prefer the ethereal qualities of sometimes.

Your review's syntax sucks. Look to your intro: you contradict yourself and include the clause "music that conveys emotions [any in particular?], and would make you want to fall asleep to."

And, why the harmonica hate?

Not as good as Sometimes, but not as bad as some people have made out, when it's good, it's really good (see What Makes A Man?, The Death of Me and Sleeping Sickness)

Some unmemorable songs keep me from bumping this to a 4.5

But this guy has a beautiful voice, keeps a much larger variety of songs than his debut, and altogether makes a much more cohesive and mature album.

I like every song on this album, probably my favorite folk album of all-time. Also, Dallas Green is jizztastic.

Alright review, but I disagreed with just about everthing you said. You clearly aren't a fan of acoustic music so why review it in the first place?

I read a little of this "conversation". Well I don't really care what others have to say. Dallas is one of my favourite singers.

I mean, so what if it was the fans that got him to start singing solo and release an album? The music is really good and he obviously enjoys it. I also highly doubt he uses autotune. I don't get that vibe from his singing.

All of this being said, I really preferred his debut album. It was really refreshing. This album feels a lot different.

Hmm.. you do raise some valid points but personally, i liked this album. It's a different style than Sometimes, but i thought it worked in his favour.. Sure it takes away from the aspect that it's supposed to be just him and a guitar.. but i liked the addition of other musical instruments. Dallas is a talented artist and imo has a lot to offer..
