Yeah, the TMV fanbase sure was weakened after Amputechture man. At the New Year's show, everyone was ecstatic, the place was filled. And look around, their singles go for around $50 and their one DVD from 2003 is impossible to buy. These guys are just destined for disaster huh?

Honestly, the review is way too biased and too short. It's already obvious that TMV is either a band you love or hate, I felt like it could've been a lot longer and more informative.



As a matter of fact, I don't really like any of the reviews for this album so far. At least iluvatar made his average review entertaining and funny.



I got the CD today from my lone surviving independent record store, they were selling it early, so I've already listened to the whole thing almost 3 times, and it's between 3.5 - 4.5.This Message Edited On 01.28.08

I like De-loused, but am neither here nor there with this band. Despite the slating of this album, you still give it a 2.5. This makes me think that it is actually quite decent?

I have to say, I've never even heard the Mars Volta before, but this album does seem a bit overrared by the TMV fanboys here, and most of the ones not giving approval here are not giving reasons.

This album is just TMV being TMV really, except slightly less ambient wank.



Which just really means it's a decent record, but it could be better if they trimmed some of the fat. That goes for every TMV album, which is why I don't rate any TMV more than a 4 really.



It's a good album. Great, in fact. TMV just need to learn that they shouldn't pad song lengths unnecessarily.

it's a great album, filled with annoying clicks and scratches that make me glad i just downloaded. concept album my ass. they went to the extreme, imo. omar needs to go back into the studio and actually produce a listenable album.

ya, im very interested in getting this now, but i don't think chickenfish or ptree understand the english language. "Was This Review Well Written?" Never neg a review because you disagree with it. I neither like nor dislike the mars volta (I've only listened to a couple of songs), and I think this review is well-written. Good job.
