Run Into Flowers might be my favorite song ever

Hurry Up is a great album, but I have to listen to it in spurts. It's like candy, so sweet and syrupy that it makes me sick if I listen to too much of it at once.

Whereas Dead Cities is like a glass of ice water. Refreshing, organic, and nourishing.

sorry, I'll stop attempting metaphors now.

YES DUDE!

I BELEVE THAT Electronic music is able to express a side of humanity that NO other genre can do.

It just takes the right kind of musicianship to articulate in a matter that makes sense artistically to people beyond the designer.

I really just listen to death metal/grindcore/black metal, so think what you will about me.

But I can at least see that there are feelings in music that can transcend genres....

yeah there's always been something about S=Y that has resonated with me, but this is already better than Hurry Up (for me, anyway), which I never really liked for whatever reason.

Really? Huh, for some reason that one always got me. It might've just been the age I listened to it the first time but it kinda blew me away. "Wait" is one of my all-time favorite songs

Yeah 'Wait' is super powerful and possibly my 2nd fave M83 song (Graveyard Girl is always #1), but the record as a whole never captivated me the way it seemed to grab everyone else. I actually prefer Junk because I can blast it and have a great time. I've tried over and over to get something more meaningful our of Hurry Up but it's never climbed above the 3-3.5 range.

I also haven't heard every single thing by these guys, but for me right now it goes S=Y > this > Junk > Hurry Up.
