I'm not sure which album is worse, this or Stabbing the Drama.

I understand your stance, I used to think that album was the worst too.

I wonder what this would sound like if they re-recorded it in their current situation.
The production is AWFUL in this release but the songwriting is fine.

Hardly only the productions fault...

Boring, the choruses are terrible, this is just like Stabbing the Drama. Martyr is the only good song off this, and it's pretty amazing.

They should have let Devin produce the entire album. The songs are good, they just sound bad.

Now don't get me wrong i am a die hard soilwork fan and completely agree this album definitely lacks something musically. I think speed is completely on point in this album and with every album, it was the guitar production i felt let it down, granted it was the new guitarists first album which may have been the issue, it defiantly needed something of a louder track as to me speeds vocals overpowered everything.
Speed = Bjorn Strid (vocals)

Plus what didn't help was the huge transition in synth melody coming straight from STD
STD= Stabbing the drama

Nah, this album's bad. Fuck this album. But as I said, one good song: Martyr. And it's a fucking bonus track.

Oh yeah Daniel Antonsson, who only played on this album for Soilwork, is now in The Resistance, replacing Glenn Ljungstrom (one of the two ex-In Flames guitarists in the band). So now it's pretty much all the members from old Swedish melodeath acts playing a sort of Hatebreed/death metal hybrid (Jesper Stromblad - ex-In Flames, Daniel Antonsson - ex-Soilwork/Dark Tranquility, Christofer Barkensjo - ex-Grave/Nightrage, Marco Aro - The Haunted, Robert Hakemo - ex-Engel)

I don't care what anyone says about this being soft or not as good as their earlier or later stuff. I know one thing, and one thing for sure:
20 More Miles is the best song they have ever made and will ever make.
Period.

Mehtropolis City's pretty much written on this record, but damn does The Pittsburgh Syndrome riff! Also, why is Martyr a mere bonus track? Ugh.

I love the new version of Martyr,the production is way better

well in its defense wouldn't call it a proper album, two new songs and a bunch of already heard bonus tracks from previous records, but i kinda expected unreleased demos and shit
