The drumming is as stellar as ever here, and the guitars are technical enough, but this album overall feels bereft of ideas when compared to what they had released to the point. The production isn't as razor sharp as stuff like Pierced From Within either. This re-listening to Suffocation marathon has really surprised me how mid some of their works really are. I don't mind this, but it's definitely their most generic and underwhelming up until this point
Regret is my personal highlight here, and there's a couple of other good moments, but overall I found this boring and stale.
