I found that when someone says BRING ON THE NEGZ, people tend to give out less negz in order to prove the person wrong. He'ld probably have at least 2 more negs if it wasn't for that post.

I can definitely see why you dislike this album. However, my opinion was changed about this band when I first heard this album. I don't care if it has no boundaries or theme, I enjoy escapism and ADD type of music. This cd is perfect for that. Well written review, but a little harsh on the hatred.

This album is over bloated, boring, and typical BTBAM. What angers me the most as the reviewer pointed out is the fact that in between all of the sucking there are really great moments. But, seriously a bluegrass jam?

i DID see the comment, but like someone else mentioned, the comments you made in the review don't point to a 1/5 rating. i'm not trying to be aggressive about this, because you're not the only one who's done this lately, but i've seen a hell of a lot of reviews here recently, where an album that's generally accepted by the vast majority to be a pretty good album to all intents and purposes, has been ripped to shreds by one reviewer.



now i'm not saying for a second that because it's highly acclaimed that you should necessarily agree, but this review, and a few others i've seen, smack of the reviewer exaggerating their rating to a much lower one, to get the point accross that they don't like the album. i mean, judging by the content of this review, the rating should be about 2.5ish. had you given it such an appropriate rating that correlates with what you've written, then i wouldn't have a problem with this review at all.



and if you genuinely do think this album is as bad as the sort of uninspired, shallow dross that usually deservedly gets 1/5 ratings, you need to do way more in the way of justifying it.

I would say, given the acclaim this album has been given (here and otherwise), you need to write more in this review.

I've only heard two tracks off this album, but I still have a hard time believing your review. There just isn't enough of an argument to backup your opinion when it goes against the general concensus about this album by such a great amount. And there are some people on this site that actually DO know what they're talking about.

I wasnt gonna get myself involved in this argument, but I think what spoon of grimbo said really hit the nail on the head. My thoughts exactly.

Isn't it possible for Altmer to simply NOT LIKE THE ALBUM? No album is perfect; there's
always gonna be someone who hates it. It's just the way it is. Even if a band is technical
and skilled, it isn't an automatic perfect band for everybody. Technical doesn't always
equal likeable.. not at all. There are great songs that are simple, too. (Sorry if this is a
bit dated, but some people were bugging me. :/)

I personally thought the review was pretty good. A bit more description would be nice,
but besides that, it isn't HORRIBLE or anything. Like the dude above me said, though, it

Sure it's possible for someone to not like an album, but that reason alone does not justify a rating of 1. It should get more than a 1 just more not sounding like all the generic bullcrap the kids call metal on the radio.

I like Anal Cunt. The only real issue with the review is that it doesn't justify the 1 rating well. If it really is one of the worst albums ever heard, give us more/better reasons.

A rating of 1 makes a pretty hefty statement so the review in question should reflect that. This does not. A 1 is the lowest you can go and I find it highly unlikely that this is one of the worst albums he's ever heard.
