Sounds to me like lots of people are bitter of the Christian base of this band..
Who cares, the music frickin rocks, I cant see how anyone would think it doesn't. I thought that Dear Love: A Beautiful Discord, while simpler in the producing, was more complex with more unique breakdowns and so many different things that I never heard a band do before. Plagues has a cleaner sound to the songs and is more just slightly more generic. Still, its much more complex then most bands and the breakdowns and wicked screaming combine so well. Every time I listen to it I get pumped up, and also I find myself discovering new things about each song that makes them even better then I originally thought. I keep finding that both CD's grow on me more and more.
Ive seen them live before and was blown away.. It was seriously in the top 3 shows Ive ever been too, and Ive been to a lot.
Devil rules big time.

Their Christian base isn't bothering us, stop looking into that. It's the fact that they're horribly generic, excessive in breakdowns and the vocalist is extremely annoying. This band is a joke, and none of their music is complex, at all. They follow the same formula over and over again. This Message Edited On 08.24.07

Because we have opinions, which are apparently more informed than yours. This is band is pretty bad, sure people may like them, but these guys aren't worth my time. IMO's are implied also. I know my metalcore and this just doesn't cut the mustard. This Message Edited On 08.24.07

How can you say your opinions are more informed then ours? That's just stupid talk.

Not necessarily. Imagine a kid running up to you saying that Natalie Imbruglia makes the best guitar rock ever, would you think he'd ever heard of the Jesus Lizard?
(Note that this analogy may not be in exact proportion to the context matter at hand.)
Anyway, I still have this gut feeling that TDWP are playing a major joke on the whole Christian metal community, slinging overly devoted messages to the press while in reality they are just having fun writing incomprehensible lyrics and applying simple metal formulas to them. It's mainly the song titles that instill this suspicion in me.
God, I hope I'm right.

I have questioned this very thing being brought up as a Christian. There comes a point in your life where you have to ask yourself why you believe the things you do. For me, it changed from believing in God because it's what I was raised to do to believing in Him because I have tangibly felt His presence and seen first-hand healing miracles. Keep searching, lunchforthesky, for truth.

lame
I'm an atheist, and I don't need a religious adherent, as long as I know I'm going somewhere with my life.

Yea replacing usernames in quotes is awesome.
Anyway, if this is going to be a battleground for zealousness vs. juvenility, I'm losing interest. This Message Edited On 08.25.07

Noone listens to what you say anyway, so I suggest you loose interest faster and get out of the forums.

This is why I hate religion. I'm an atheist and that isn't changing, so stop imposing your belief on other people.
