I need Crimson II. I have heard Aftermath, and the first minute

is one of the greatest things I have ever listened to before.

As for this album, I like Dan's soothing, calm, and haunting clean vocals so damn much.

Crimson II is this album completely exaggerated, the clean parts are more memorable but less common, the heaviest parts are heavier than anything on this, and the keyboards add a new lush atmosphere to it, but it isn't as good as this. Not by a long shot. There's just something missing, still excellent mind.

@Bodo

"Purgatory Afterglow" is their third best album after "Crimson I" & "Crimson II"

This song/album rules. I just love the random transitions from clean sections to heavier sections, and the time really does fly by when you listen to this ^^.

Crimson II, PA, Until Eternity Ends ep. Is The Spectral Sorrows any good?

The Spectral Sorrows is their transition period, where they truly added a lot of melody for the first time, I like it, but it lacks the true quality of the later albums, but it is still very good and there are some great tracks there.

Also, if you like old-school death metal, check out Unorthodox, it's just as good as The Spectral Sorrows, and it was there when Dan Swano first started flirting with the progressive tendencies, I really like it.

I actually like their cover of Manowar's Blood of My Enemies. Very good song that Dan did a great job on.

Sure thing, I am this band's official fanboy here, I know their entire discography and history off by heart ;)

I really think you would appreciate this release judging by your tastes, I can honestly say this is the most complete album I have ever listened to, and hand-on-my-heart, it's my favourite too.

Just got this. I'm listening to this now then I plan on some Mehuggah with I and Catch Thirty-Three then maybe Colors to finish it up...I Love when bands make nice short songs that I can listen to over and over again in the same hour.
