"you mean every song had the same structure and all built up to similar climaxes"

Yeah that definitely annoyed me, but I was completely blown away by the vocal performances. Vinnie really has outdone himself, one of the finest modern vocalists, so dynamic.

It's bottom 3 on the album imo, but still great. Give the t/t and Emotional Winter a listen if you want to hear the full spectrum of Judgement's sound

Agreed, he just keeps getting better (it's unbelievable how much he's changed since The Silent Enigma)

The Gathering's vocal lines made me orgasm thrice!!! And Storm before the Calm was very fresh, love the experimentation during the first half.

Yeah. I mean I like each and every piece of their discography, but the first album wasn't 'tits' worthy, imo.

Thought you meant the band, and was like "wow same, Disclosure so nearly aoty" and then was like "...oh"

Haha Johnny I thought that ambiguity would arrise.

Yeahthe first feels too candid, Nostalgia Factory and Radioactive toy are great though. Also I think Signify and the Incident are average albums.

Yeah I know, matured so much and so well. But I really enjoy those pseudo deep vocals of his like during the intro of Lost Control. His vocal performances never seem contrived, it always feels to me like he completes his vocals on the first take.

Signify and The Incident were pretty great, but the obvious best will always be Stupid Dream.

I think Deadwing might be the best. But every PT era was great. It will be interesting to see where they go next, wouldn't mind hearing a touch of the psychedelia from Up and The Sky.

Doesn't sound as if these guys are gonna do anything anytime soon. Apparently Stevey Wilson doesn't know what direction he wants to take the band and seems content making mediocre bullcrap with Storm Corrosion.

Damn I actually enjoyed it, thought they held back with the experimentation but it was still aight nonetheless. Yeah SW's made it clear that his solo albums should be taken more seriously and that his supporting cast is an actual band, plus he's apparently enjoying more than ever so it'll be a while before PT reconvene.

Got this on CD today. I think I'll like it since I like most Porcupine tree works.

Arriving is one of the band's best compositions without a doubt. That build up is stunning and it's cool how they're able to capture all the little nuances live too. They're so great live.
