I definitely think that Storm has more staying power in it's execution, musicianship and depth but this is stellar in it's own right.

I'll never get over how Jon Nödtveidt was only 18 when this masterpiece was RELEASED... that must mean the whole thing was written already when he was like 15 or 16 for it to have been recognized and even produced professionally by the likes of Dan Swanö... so insane, considering it's easily one of the greatest Black Metal albums ever released.

The Grief Prophecy / Shadows over a Lost Kingdom is honestly my favorite piece of melodic extreme metal I've ever heard. That entire track is the definition of perfect. I just wish it was much, much longer..
