It never had to grow on me! I loved the album from the first time I had heard it! It's my favorite Tool album as well as one of my favorite albums ever recorded! Aenima is VERY close behind this though! It's a 5 rating in my opinion as well as this one

Just stating my opinion, everyone. Every tool album is a solid 5, no doubt. But, if I had to pick a
favorite, it would be this one.

Is this a troll review? It isn't that every point you make is something I disagree with, it's just that every point you make is completely false. Every song sounds the same? Yep, heavy tracks like "Grudge" sound exactly like the bass driven "Schism" or the trippy drum song that is "Reflectiom" or the slow and soothing "Parabol." Too much filler? Two 90-second fax tracks and two artsy songs that spam for 5 and 11 minutes respectively. Aenema and 10,000 days have far more filler and you say they are better. Too long? 79 minutes compared to Aenema's 77 minutes and 10,000's 76 minutes are okay though; those two extra minutes really make the album seem infinite.
