that intro track is so epic. it's probably the best part about album...it sounds like you're actually hearing jesus get battered on the cross

I fucking love this album, its awsome, Dave Suzuki is a fucking god, that way of combining brutality (also benton's merit) and melodic solos makes an incredible mix of complex, brutal and enjoyable music. I feel some kind of metal orgasm at that little solo in Icons of evil, before benton sings "SO YOU DAMN MEEEE!!!", there are no fucking words to describe it, this one with Dechristianize are nothing but MASTERPIECES.

In response to the 4th comment, I love death metal but I also like John Butler, Iron & Wine, City & Colour etc.

This album ain't too bad I guess, but the first ever record I heard from them was Dechristianize, which was a monster of an album and my expectations are quite high.

In response to RandyfromPenny,

I like extreme music.

Classical music and Metal music.

They are complementary.

Not in a competition.

They are at both end of the spectrum of music.

Like the two pole of a magnet.

They have both excellent & mediocre composers & musicians.

IMHO this is a point of view about music that is cool & open.

This record was such a letdown for me. It tried to basically mimicking the success of their previous record and it just felt bland. Haven't they been promising a follow-up to this nonsense for like four years?
