so i just got an email from James Vella from Yndi Halda and he's working on a remix for a b-side of an upcoming Frightened Rabbit single. How. Cool. Is. That.

Should ask him when this band is releasing new material.

'For the minute I need to finish the new A Lily record as top priority (not to mention [Yndi Halda])', A Lily being his sideproject if you didn't know. But obviously no dates, but if it's anywhere near as good as this...

I doubt they'll ever top this.

hey, Slow Riot was released after F# A# ∞... haha, but i guess it's entirely subjective as to which one people prefer.

I personally think Slow Riot destroys anything they've ever done.

I fell asleep to this last night, a good premonition, but I need to give this a whole listen before I rate it.

Does the start of "We Flood Empty Lakes" remind anyone other than me of Zelda's Lullaby

Kinda. That's the best song on the album though. Best post-rock album ever.

It doesn't follow Lullaby's structure, but on both, they share those two elongated notes.

I'm really liking this, I may be rating it too soon but I'm getting into this much easier than anything else I've tried (and that includes Mono, GY!BE and Explosions in the Sky)

Yeah the ending of the song is the greatest moment of the cd. There is many of them on there, but that just takes the cake. I regularly get the violin from Dash & Blast in my head as well.

I used to think We Flood Empty Lakes was best, but honestly this is one of those albums that just flows well as a whole; every track is breathtaking and has fantastic moments throughout.

Slow Riot is slightly better than this imo. I prefer this to F#A# ∞ and probably Skinny Fists as well though.
