^actually i hadn't heard anything from silent earth in a while before i went to that show so they more than likely did play it a half-step down. his tone and strength were still there tho

Wow, that's good to know. I never doubted his ability to sing well, I was just surprised to see that
he partially can't sing his own songs. He does still get very high though, as I heard in some other
songs.

his voice has gotten so much better over the years imo. i'd rather have the overall range he has now than just be able to sing ridiculously high.

What on earth. I've had these guys discography for years and years. But I've always ignored their first two albums, dismissing them as poppy and lame.
Just listened to this fully for the first time while driving last night. Holy shit. Good stuff. New favourite album of theirs.

21:13 is maybe my least fave here, feels kinda disjointed, but the guitar is still great

Yeah, it's good just a bit disjointed
The Crowing, Three Evils and Light & the Glass are my faves
|

Album Rating: 4.5
My three favorites will probably always be the title track, The Crowing, and The Light and the Glass.
"DEEEAR AMBELIIIINA" to the end of the Crowing is the best thing ever.

No love for The Velorium Camper II/III?

Album Rating: 4.5
Well when selecting a top three from a twelve song album, there are sure to be songs left off. =p
Al the Killer is probably my least favorite song here, actually. It's mostly just because of the production; live it's much better in my opinion.

Al the Killer is pretty cool, but Faint of Hearts is my fave part of the suite
For me, part from maybe Three Evils, there's nothing here as 200% superamazing as Time Consumer or Everything Evil, but this is more consistent than SSTB, and overall better

Album Rating: 4.5
Both of them are two of my favorite albums ever.
I actually think Second Stage is a little more consistent than this in terms of quality, but this has a few stronger tracks.

Haha, I love the first half of SSTB to death, but the only 2nd stage (lol) track that I love as much is Neverender, whereas here there's nothing that isn't awesome
What are your other faves?
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
From the second half, I really like Junesong Provision, Neverender, and IRO-Bot. The only song I'd consider weak is 33 probably.

| |
Album Rating: 4.3
Yeah, 33 is ok but nothing more
I meant favorites ever, lol, but w/e
