I personally prefer this to Dopethrone but yeah all three of those albums are cornerstones of Doom.
Just a recommendation, If you dig classic doom like this, then check out Crypt Sermon. Their debut is one of the finer traditional doom records to come out in a while.

Dopethrone isnt really "important", and I wouldnt lump it together with this and Epicus. Its not strictly doom.
Another thing Ive noticed is that both this and Epicus came out the same year... and 86 was supposed to be the
year of thrash.

You could say that but Electric Wizard represents a different genre. Dopethrone is Stoner/Doom, whereas Vitus and Candlemass play different music.
