We're all to Blame sounds very similar to a couple of System of a Down songs. the verse's guitar sounds like "Forest" and then the chorus is like "Chop Suey". friggin punk rockers

My name is Chuck.

Coincidence? No.

Anyway, to the point. I listened to this album, and it's another good effort from the Ajax band. I think I like Does This Look Infected? more, but I'm sure this one will grow on me. Sum41 is definitly one of my guilty pleasures.

wow. i just listened to the album and im so... dissappointed. its not very good really. the other albums were wicked but this really isnt. and whats with the solos? theyre all the same - theyre repetative, they dont go anywhere. no feeling, no nothing. they should stick to what theyre good at
alright. first thing. i wouldn't sell out and sign to a label like you probably would, because im into music for the sake of the art. YOU on the other hand are sitting here defending pop music no matter how youl ook at it. sure they've gone "more metallish", but all they did was rip oof other bands and change their pop sound to a new pop sound. there gay videos still play on mtv and are still loved by pubeescent preteen girls. as for making my own "epic" i dont neccesarily care how long the album is, its the song itself, which brings me to the other guys take on "quality over quantity". how can you fit quality into 3 minutes? simply by adding a half deent solo? i think not, the rest of the song is still power chords, scank drum beats and simple bass lines. . you both need to grow up and realize that this is pop music and poop by any other name is still poop.
**** you! why do people always stereotype against girls??? i hate it! u have no idea how pissed off i get when ppl discriminate! just coz im a girl doesnt mean the only reason i like a band is coz its on mtv...i dont even watch mtv! i cant stand it! and i know many other girls who feel the same way. i dont like bands for their image, i like a band for their music. I like sum 41, ramones, green day, new found glory, metallica, jimi hendrix, sex pistols, operation ivy, nofx, the clash, black flag, RATM....etc...and guess what? IM A GIRL! and i've liked these bands for years....and i HATE simple plan, i HATE good charlotte...strongly dislike blink

Me too, I was disapointed by Chuck after a couple of listens. I'll review it a bit.

The intro is cool but it could have been the intro of "No Reason" so it would have only 12 songs, then "No reason" is a medley of all killer no filler's songs and some more metalish sound ,some linkin park lyrics at begining... Then "We,re all to blame" which is the first single and harder than order songs if we except the chorus which is very popy. After there's a song that i realy like called "angels with dirty faces", the begining is not real good but after the first time the chorus comes the song is very rocky with fast drums. Then the song "some say" which is a slow song and reminds us of "handle this" from AKNF album ,realy the same chorus so its not real good in my opinion to repeat the same thing. Then the best song and the fastest of the album "the bitter end" even if the chorus is about the same thing as Battery of the album "Master of puppets"(best album ever) By Metallica. The solo after the first chorus exactly at same place than "Battery". We see that dave got skills at guitar at least. Then "open your eyes" which is not so bad but not so great with strange guitar sound that makes me think of ska songs. Then an other slow song (ew i hate slow songs) "slipping away" not so great ... acoustic guitar all the way and violons too bah I skip it...9th song called "I'm not the one" it's like a rap song with guitar in background instead of a dumb beat. not so great again. "Welcome to hell" is a short fast song that i realy like ,there's a bass solo of 3 seconds (woohoo cone first time we notice your skills in 4 albums)...Then "pieces" which is an ather slow song but so catchy that I like it a bit, not so bad yeah. "there's no solution" is a linkin park song in my opinion and i don't like linkin park so it's just an other boring song..."88" is a great song in 3 parts i'd say. The begining like someone said is just like Billy talent's song called "The Ex" and is a popy begining since we reach the meatalish part with a solo that reminds me the solo of again a "master of puppets" song called "leper messiah" then it becomes slow with some guitar amp feedback and piano and it ends like that. It's the one of the best song on the album with its originality.

I'd say if you like a mix of Metallica ,linkin park, old sum41 and slow songs you'll like this album but if like me you like fast songs you should like Does this look infected? much better.

I thought the album was alright. But i think that "half hour of power" was their best album, I would still give this album a 3.5/5

Dude..no way this is your 1st!This is an awesome review dude :thumb:
Anyway,I'm glad they took a step towards creativity and variety, which all bands should.I'm sort of outta punk music, but this is the exception. This isnt like any other of their albums at all. This is an innovation for Sum 41,except for the lead singer dating Avril and Paris  He's a dick for that.

This is a very good album. It's much heavier than the general norm, but I think Sum 41 has improved their overall technical skills as well as their musicality. My two favorite parts are the dual lead breaks in "Bitter End" and the guitar arpeggios in "88."

However, the album really didn't flow really well. It almost sounds like a CD of haphazardly burnt tracks. Still, 8/10 for overall technical soundness.
