very true. Not trying to put down mainstream bands, I like plenty of them, it just seems particularly common with bands with huge fanbases. I know looking at instagram comments is already a mistake right off the bat but so many people were saying shit along the lines of “man up, it’s just a lil cold”
Idk when I’ve seen smaller bands cancel shows due to covid I notice alot more empathy and understanding among their fans.

on top of that, i've heard it on the radio an absolute fuck ton of times now... but its weirdly not reflected in the streaming numbers, still only like the 6th or 7th most streamed song on the album when i checked last night (and not even in their spotify top 10 like the other singles for this album were). weird disconnect there

Honestly they need to hang it up it's time. Strange feeling for me to say that metallica is arguably my favorite band of all time but yeah... I don't care one bit about another 2.5-3 album 8 yrs from now when their all mid 60s... lol. Almost guaranteed it would be just as average if not worse than this. Hell probably even the same album with just a different name. Retire and spend the 60s at home with the wives theyre not financially hurting and the best years are wayyyy behind them
