Jay doing it right. I did the same for Cult of Luna back in the day. Flying to see them, booked them once, met everyone, it’s a great feeling meeting your idols when they’re cool people

I generally try not to interact with the artist (and I'm not dissing those that do, live your life idc) because I'm sure theyre busy enough as is, but I remember driving down to memphis to see ETID, and we werent familiar with the area obv, so i see these guys about a hundred feet away and ask if they knew if the parking was free where we were. I realized when they got a little closer that it was literally 4/5ths of the band. I was geeking out and they laughed and said they'd make sure we were good.
Bought Jordan a shot later that night. Its always nice to meet your heroes and they're actually really solid dudes.

Fun dose of nostalgiacore worship still after hearing this again. Kinda sad that safeword didn't make it on to the tracklisting but I'm not gonna complain too hard about it since we got Sweet on it.

Why is this band so fucking good? Just went back and listened to all the pre-RCD stuff on my drive to work this morning and I just don't get how they came out of the gates perfect. I'm stoked to see them next month.
Jay, do you know what songs they broke out at your show?

I'll be 100% happy hearing Push Rope and clean. if they break those out but no Fleahouse would hurt a bit. That's a perfect setlist though. Only 2 more weeks until I catch them.

Jay, how was Paledusk? I'm curious if their sound translates well live because their shit is pretty nuts.

Yea that’s a good way to make sure your band stays opening

Aw that blows! Probably means they won't be on the stop I'm going to either but maybe I'll luck out.
And yeah, nobody really gives a shit about showing the opening band any energy. Lol. Most people are still sipping on their beers.

Yeah, if the openers suck (musically or as people), I’m usually a bit salty that I’ve wasted my back and feet still feeling good on watching crap.

I was supposed to go see them tomorrow but I looked at tickets too late and they were sold out before I got the chance
should've snagged them when I had the chance but oh well

Although UnityTX did call out their "last show" as having a shit crowd which I thought was kinda weird. They were cool for us though.
