"I love The Fillmore in Silver Spring but I agree. When I saw Underoath during their 2016 reunion tour and Brand New in 2014 it was unbelievably packed and people moving at the very front of the floor were causing people in the far back to lose balance. Had my now wife freaked out since it was her first show like that (the Brand New one) so I moved to the back with her instead of being in the center."
yeah still my fave venue around this area prob. saw glassjaw, meshuggah, trivium[x2], and the underoath/periphery show there all in the past few years and it was great. gotta love the free parking
only other time i'd seen it get that packed was for pusha t which i think is pretty easily the biggest artist i've seen play there so a lot more understandable

We were definitely at the same Glassjaw show. I was upset they didn't come on stage until after 10PM because it was Sunday and I was ready for bed. I was trying so hard to hold in my yawns since I was up front and Daryl kept looking at me.

Really hope they pull through with the darkest, heaviest shit they've ever done. This album is gonna be absolutely massive and I cannot wait.

What if y'all are getting all hype and it ends up being a minimal ambient album....

Just a 30 minute wet fart and these guys would somehow pull it off

first 3 seconds: “knocked loose motherfucker!!!” then 30 mins of ambience

Vinyl came in yesterday. New record is by far their fastest album to date.

Take Me Home is fucking unhinged. Not even sure how I feel about it. Feels too over the top but also might end up being my fave non-single?
|

New album goes dummy hard, "Take Me Home" is prolly one of my favorites alongside "The Calm..." and the closer. 27 minutes of pure destruction.

Buddy bought me tickets to their Dallas show and the singles they played were fucking monstrous live. Don't Reach For Me nearly blew the top off the venue
We were in the back, but a pit opened up with a few people, one of whom was a big boy with a mullet who was flailing like he was possessed. Very odd, but endearing

sometimes fun yet unremarkable band removes the fun and becomes bland as hell. Their only selling point on the new one is sounding 'heavy' and they even messed that up with shitty production
I suppose a collab with Poppy and the dude from Motionless In White was already a red flag, although you'd think they could've at least done something 'wacky' with Poppy's contrib
RYM is going absolutely mad for it of course, lol

I dig this too, but for some reason songs here seem way too long for me. I dig them since Laugh Tracks.

so many panic chords on here lol. fun ep and god knows goes extremely hard but idk if i will ever get the massive hype behind these dudes. might even like the new album a touch more. really solid for what it is but doesn't standout to me. great gym music though!
