Depends on the album. Thrill Seeker was dope but stuff like Artist and the Ambulance I never listened to again.

I prefer it to bands writing new bad music *cough* Underoath, Fit for a King, TDWP, Architects, Parkway Drive *cough*

Rerecording albums is fine with me because fans can always choose to take or leave them. Whereas putting out a bad new album automatically inserts bad songs into the band's setlists.

Yeah, I'd be very excited to hear a re-recorded version. It'll never replace the original for me, but it would be refreshing to hear that album with the current version of the band.

like I'm based in NZ and unless a band is playing an anniversary setlist or something it's so disappointing to have a band come here for what is like probably the only time and they have mostly shit recent music to share.

edit: tool for example played four songs from their most recent album when they played here recently so glad I didn't go

Agreed hard bro, but I wouldn't limit that to metalcore, I'd say bands in general need to stop doing it lol.
