....well...i like that last point!
i only heard the new song once, i don't think the production irked me but the vocals were just noticeably worn

Alex - gave that episode from PRMBA a listen and you're right, he definitely has a lot of strong opinions he's more than willing to share. I was going to say that I'd heard other people reference s/t as "the white album" before, but I think it's only ever been Shadows in other articles/interviews lol
Either way, I'm equally excited and worried to hear just how "new" and experimental this album is based on what he said.

I need to return to this... Remember loving stuff like Higher and Roman Sky but hating the general flow of the album. Like it's hard for me to jump back into. The opening song is pretty boring too, doesn't get me going enough.

just based on Nobody and the minute or so of We Love You that I heard people are either really going to hate it or really like it I think.
Im here for it tho honestly, the band could’ve easily just kept making mid tempo hard rock like everything on Hail to the King and they’d be the biggest band on the planet. Respect for experimenting with their sound so much.

We Love You had some great shit weighed down by "more blah, more blah" which wouldve been fine if it wasn't repeated.
regardless...very interested in how the album is gonna turn out, i'm down for them getting weird with it

The only part I heard was a very spacey ambient instrumental with Matt crooning over it, then it just goes into probably the heaviest they’ve been since Nightmare with Matt fucking screaming and it ended with the start of a solo.
So I’m really excited to hear the full thing

what the fuck is that new song they just released

new song is the most bizarre track they've ever made and frankly it laps the field ten times over in that competition

New song is very strange indeed.

Really channeling the Slayer and Mr. Bungle influences on the new song, easily the weirdest and wildest song they've done yet - but in a good way, not so much like the first single.

this is gonna be one nutty ass album and i'm fucking ready for it... like WHAT THE FUCK even is this lmaooooo
if this is a single i can't imagine what the rest of the album sounds like

yeah I agree that the “more” hook (is that the hook? Lmfao) shouldn’t have been repeated. Could’ve shaved like 30 seconds off the track and cut out the weakest part of the song.
Loved the rest of it. I didn’t think they’d ever get that heavy again.

No idea how to feel about the new song. Stoked that it's so out of the box, but I find the "more" bits hard to enjoy, agreed.

The screamed part of the new song is probably one of the most aggressive things these guys have ever done. As for the rest of the track, I at least respect how experimental and strange it is. Props to the band for still being willing to create something this bold

Spoken word sections are awful, but every other section of the new track is interesting and entertaining. Song is 6 minutes and feels short, which is a good thing I think. Even though some creative choices are odd, I’m interested in the album. Hated Nobody

yeah think "nobody" suffers from not being weird enough by comparison.
new single has a lot of the same features/bugs but its so wacky it ends up working in its favor... but "nobody" is just standard a7x with some quirky production choices that don't really fit

It's also a pretty curious choice to have Nobody and We love You back-to-back on the tracklist, considering how different they are from one another
