There's an acoustic EP of this thing's t/t, Sure and Certain, and Get Right available as of this weekend. Nothing groundbreaking, but if you liked those tracks here, you'll probably enjoy those versions of them a bit too. Added it to the database and just wanted to mention it since it seemed to fly under a lot of people's radars.

I'm really glad this album got love on this site. It was really sad to see it so mindlessly shat on on rym

My most aniticipated concert currently is these guys headlining a tour with The Hotelier and Microwave supporting. March (maybe April) couldn’t come sooner

Pass the Baby was such a shock the first time I heard it. That breakdown was just so unexpected. Definitely one of the best moments in JEW's discography

"Goodbye, Sky Harbour" though. Gotta admit it's one of the best closers of all-time. But I do agree with "Fireworks."

They tend to make amazing closers. Especially from Static Prevails to Futures but of course this one finishes strong too

How does a band have eight albums and the only one that can be considered even remotely bad is the debut? Seriously, by this time any band would begin to wear out but Jimmy is just as good now as they were in 1999.

For real. The only reason static prevails is bad is because of the vocals. If they were to re record the whole album now, without changing anything in the production value, it would be amazing just for the sheer fact that Jim's vocal prowess has gotten miles better

vocals make that album tho. he can't scream anymore

Don't get how anyone could not like the vocals on Static Prevails tbh. Love the raw sound Jim has on that one and I don't think his more polished style of the following albums would fit nearly as well with those songs.
Tom's vocals are great on SP too
