Should I listen to their albums in chronological order or can I start my journey with this one?

chronological. youll appreciate the throwbacks so much more. not just narrative but melodic and lyrical throwbacks. if you find you arent enjoying yourself listening to the old stuff though, then maybe jump to act IV and then this.

Casey said his recommended listening order is IV-I-II-III-V... I don't remember the reason but he said this in a comment on the subreddit.

Meh... i dont agree with that order starting with act IV, sure it has good songs but, start with Act 1, and if you want a little more, check a couple single tracks such as Mustard Gas, Cascade, Waves, The March are good stand alones

Apparently BTBAM is covering TDH and TDH is covering BTBAM and they're putting it on a 7"

also wait how can you recommend any standalone tracks and not include Gloria, the best song in the entire TDH discography

I'm a afraid to share music to people because its happened to me so many times when i try to play a song for someone, they don't pay attention to it, and are focused on something else and yeah... its a fucking mess

Gloria to A New Beginning. That run through is utterly incredible. Rest of the album unfortunately hasn't hit as hard for me yet.

Yup, the second half of the album definitely outshines the first,
Although there is some in the first that i really like, The Moon/Awake, Cascade and The Revival

Neither half is better imo, weakest song is easily Melpomene tho

This album hit me so hard today. Spectacular.

This is insanely overrated. Nothing is bad on this and Cascade is awesome but other than that I’m totally indifferent to this. It all blends together and is hardly emotive for me.

Excellent album, but definitely no Act IV that's for sure.

felt the same as you do for a long time, Mongi. It's definitely less diverse in sound, but I slowly found this more and more emotive than I did at first, just took a bunch of listens.
