They're going to release an instrumental version for this record, I think that's prettycool

"Like what? Cause right now it seems like a stretch to say that."
Well y'know now that I'm actually thinking about instead of just being defensive due to being tired and ornery, it was an exaggeration
But there are some similarities, both are very melody-driven and rely on breakdowns as focal points in their songs (though not exclusively)
Unearth definitely plays up the metal aspect of metalcore more than ABR tho

Abr and unearth are in the same vein of metalcore

Not really though. The songwriting between both bands is vastly different IMO. Unearth is more straightforward with their style. You're not gonna hear them pull off some weird interlude on a song like ABR likes to do. ABR tries incorporating other shit in their songs like spoken word and interludes. Unearth is just gonna blast your ass with energy and straightforward melodies. Like Jester said, Unearth plays more to the metal side than ABR too.

abr throws stupid clean sections with no purpose between endless breakdowns
it describes most of their songs

I don't want these guys to go too overboard with the non-metal interludes and shit. I'm already starting to roll my eyes when some "salsa" interlude pops up or trumpets start blasting tbh.

Pretty good album, but it really just left me wanting more. I think it's time these guys up their game a little bit, at least guitar wise, and maybe go down the progressive route a little more.
