the jewel in his crown, one of the greatest albums of all time, prog or not. steven wilson, but with feel. fuck me this is brilliant

just relistened, had to bump. just wow, just fucking amazing musicianship, songwriting, execution of theme, production, the effortless and seamless blending of a variety of instruments and genres. huge solos too, huge performances across the board. this is it guys, this is the one.

a most moving and daring effort at storytelling through music and he actually fucking nailed every single aspect. this must've been a very difficult story to tell, but somehow it just feels like it was effortless for him anyway, the juices are FLOWING In this one. feels like the record that most songwriters would probably be the most jealous of. just an embarrassment of riches

Great bump. Agreed with all of the praise for this record; it genuinely changed my tastes in and how I listen to music. One of my all-time favorites.
