The clean vox were embarrassingly bad on the demo, tolerable on Portal, and ranging from good to amazing on here. There are some fantastic vocal melodies on here, but there are a couple of cheesy ones too.

This did not even come close to living up to my expectations. Objectively, Citadel is not horrible; but as a follow-up to the earth-shattering Portal of I, it's very, very disappointing. This is probably 2014's top let down for me.

idk, when Portal of I came out, I listened to it so much that it's all really memorable to me, and some sections still amaze me when I hear them today. Listening to this doesn't blow me away like that one did, but I feel like there are a lot of improvements.
Hard to say which is better for me.

The clean vocals are still pretty cheesy on here but unlike Portal I think they actually fit the music this time around. On Portal they sounded like they were included just because they wanted to try and be more dynamic for the sake of it, whereas they sound a lot more natural on here.
