It's always worth a shot. And if you don't like it, you can tell us how wrong we all are.

What death said. This is pretty different from the other post rock I listen to. It's more eventual and the build ups are shorter too

I mean I wouldn't really call this a post rock album, especially in the sense Kill is probably thinking of so that's really not a reason to stay away. Not sure if it'll be his thing but it's good enough that it's worth a shot

It's a combination of indie and post rock. I guess you can't classify this into one genre. It's just amazing music.

Sure it's heavily inspired by post rock from a dynamics point of view but less so structurally I think, and the post rock stuff tropes that are used are more in the accessible god is an astronaut/explosions in the sky vein. I hear a lot more frightened rabbit and king creosote in here than I do post rock.

Frightened Rabbit, yes. And I agree that the post rock here is limited to being an influential factor. It's not strictly post rock. It's very much more straight forward. I think people just hear the orchestras and overlays and mislabel it.

I might 5 this. I haven't liked an album this much in years. Everything is Fire was the last new release that I enjoyed this much and that was 5 years ago.

Yeah. This is one of my favorites in a good, good while. I will 5 in time. It's just not quite there yet.

Some of these lyrics just annihilate me. Whatever. I'm bumping this. Album deserves more 5s.

My thoughts exactly. Excellent album, though, some sweet passages and lyrics here and there.

Lyrics are fantastic across the board. "Lay Me Down" and "Here Is Where especially.

As far as my imaginary end of year list is concerned, this is a 2014 release.
