i remember my first time taking calc i that shit was bad. i've never felt so demoralized in my life. i was so woefully unprepared for that class.
i remember getting the third and final midterm and flipping through it and thinking "i am so fucked" i got a 30 percent. that's like, you can't even laugh that off. that's just ego shattering shit right there.
needless to say i retook the class. somehow got a D and didn't fail, not sure how i managed that.

Well it has its pros and cons. I feel like I'm always studying for a midterm or final after week 3. I'm surprised you find semester system faster---my friend at Berkeley thinks that it's pretty reasonably paced, while I'm finding my school really fast-paced. Could be majors though.

also nah i just took "calculus," whatever that means. never been great at math so i focused on the harder (ha!) humanities classes. sorta regret not taking calculus AB this year though

yeah that's probably true. i imagine it's a lot easier when you aren't trying to take chemistry and physics and calculus and another class or two at the same quarter based pace. cause that's how it happens here.
