Cool review man! I feel the same way about this album and era of Morbid Angel. 2 of the greatest tragedies in Metal are that this album wasn't released upon the public when it was recorded and the same goes for "Bonded By Blood" by Exodus which as many should know, noteriety and popularity of a band relies heavily on who releases material first otherwise another band gets credit for an entire style of music even if they weren't the first band to do it but just happen to release the music first. I also always was bothered by how many people unknowingly gave David Vincent so much credit for his unique vocal style on "Altars Of Madness" because I knew that he was just copying Mike Browning when he heard him as the vocalist for Morbid Angel. It's pretty obvious, I mean you can tell that Mike sounded like that with MA all the way back to '86 maybe earlier and David Vincent only sang like that on "Altars." He changed his voice immediately following that album and only sang like that on 1 other occasion which was on the song "Angel Of Disease" from Covenant, which is also a Mike Browning era MA song.
