im tight with ratings and find new-rosis to be wayyyy beneath what theyve done, but they are a top 5 band for me no question. this record just has to be the worst thing theyve ever done tho, pain of mind/word law included tbh. just really dry for me idk

Kelly's vocals are quite front and centre here, hardly cloaked by the instrumentation like on their past works.



I can definitely see that being a problem if you don't dig the vox.

the cloak is what made their vocals so effective on past releases. I also prefer von till's vocals to kelly most of the time. on this one i dont like how either of them sound on most tracks and the songs are pretty tame. you say at the well is top tier songwriting, i say burn or end of the harvest is some of the best songwriting in metal music, period.



i cant complain these guys have been around for over 30 years. you cant keep putting out music as good as your peak forever but this one really disappointed me.



i wasnt huge on the new one either but its better than this
