Only saying that because Marshall Mathers has some of the worst hooks ever. I mean, SSLP/MMLP both have pretty meh beats and bad hooks for the most part but they're overlooked because Eminem is such a fucking good rapper.

i agree with that, MMLP is like awesome in spite of its beats/melodies or whatever, former of which are generally ok-to-not good and latter are just annoying usually

But for every The Real Slim Shady or Kim hook, there's a really cringeworthy one like I'm Back or Marshall Mathers. Though he did get a LOOOOT better at making them from Slim Shady LP since on there you just had ughhhh ones like on Brain Damage and My Fault.

Not really, he's actually pretty fantastic and while he has released bad stuff, so have a lot of "classic" hip-hop artists like Pharcyde and pleeeeenty of others, Lil Wayne's just had more great releases than most of them.
