Biggest Sgt. Pepper issue is that it only has 1 George song
Which is wild because “Only a Northern Song” was from the Pepper sessions and rules and totally would’ve stylistically fit.
If I had a time machine, I’d tell them to stick it between Getting Better and Fixing a Hole to break up the Paul-3-in-a-row. Wouldn’t even need to cut anything since the album would still be under 45 mins
Same goes for “It’s All Too Much” for Magical Mystery Tour (between Baby You’re a Rich Man and All You Need is Love this time)
How John and Paul treated George was lame tbh

If this album had “only a northern song” on it I’d commit seppuku (also wouldn’t want “it’s all too much” on MMT, especially cuz that’d be a weirdly homogenous closing trio)
That said
I love u

you know what would make this album just a little bit better? if they reissued it on vinyl with THE GIRL IS MINE tacked on for no reason
imagine if MJ had tried LSD and did his own pepper in 1987...

Lmfao I would be heavily on board with that. Chasing one of the best closers ever with fuckin The Girl is Mine is exactly the right level of goof prank for this record

S TIER: Abbey Road; Rubber Soul
A TIER: Revolver; Sgt. Pepper
B TIER: Magical Mystery Tour; Help!; The White Album
C TIER: Hard Day's Night; Please Please Me; Let It Be
D TIER: With the Beatles; Beatles for Sale
F TIER: Yellow Submarine

Okay next time I'm listening this the singles are getting in. Many of you prolly know the story. Penny lane and Strawberry fields for ever were recorded in same session and forced to be released as singles. So they in a way belong in here, somewhere... Do you guys have suggestions on where to put them? Between sides would be a pretty obvious spot but also kinda distracting when used to original flow of the album. Also breaking up that Paul run seems like a good idea.

Could never get into this one and today's not proving any different.

Good. Just don't get worn out, we need you in tip top shape.
But to answer Galbador's question, Strawberry Fields should follow Lucy and Penny Lane should follow 64.
