This is my first experience with the band and I expected a little more. The riffs are kind of lacking and I don't like the clean singing. I keep trying to find something similar to Alive or Just Breathing or the second half of The Fall of Ideals (track 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11) but still haven't.

This is pretty good, Willie, but to me their best still is An Ocean Between Us. Probably one of the best metalcore albums ever. You should try it. Like right now.

Lies, no AILD is best metalcore ever worthy.

I can kinda see where people are saying that this isn't Metalcore. It does feel more like Thrash to me now.

I don't get what the huge fuss is over the cleans vocals. They're not all that bad.

I don't think they fit the music at all, not even a little. They kind of worked on older AILD albums, because the music in general was more melodic and Gothenburg-sounding, but with the thrashier sound on this record I think it would be better if the guy doing clean vocals had, like, a pair of balls or something.

I'm with Inveigh (sort of) in this one. It does feel like the clean vocals are off in this album, but for some weird reason it doesn't bother me as much.

it's not like it ruins the album or anything, but just imagine if the cleans were more thrashy, or something. what if the cleans sounded like Shadows Fall or Evergreen Terrace or something like that? It might convince me to push this up to a 4...
