May as well mention Coffin Break, while we're at it. All great bands but they don't hold a candle against Soundgarden or AiC obviously.

"i just think nirvana are better songwriters than the other big 4"

I think what that you think wrong.

A cryptic sentence.

I always liked the name of Cornell's company: You Make Me Sick I Make Music.

Don't really see this as one of the "most emotionally draining albums of all time" but I do see it as Soundgarden being at the top of their game. Obsessed with Head Down atm.

I went through a long phase with BMF and still love it, but I'm starting to think this might become my favorite Soundgarden LP.

This is 'grunge' as big business, it's bloody see through now.. Nirvana were, are and always will be the gnads.

Soundgarden > Nirvana

Though I might prefer In Utero to this specifically

Nirvana's good, but I don't feel the want to listen to them nearly as much as Soundgarden or Alice in Chains... or L7

Nirvana has the best Unplugged album, I'll give them that

L7 rule.

I'd say Soundgarden are probably my least fave of that era but still had their moments and I always flew the flag for 'em at the time.

I still spin all the stuff from back then and still love most of it but nothing touches Nirvana.

Actually it's tough for me to say, Alice In Chains' Unplugged was absolutely classic and Pearl Jam's isn't so far back as well. But all 3 are incredible.

Yeah all of them are so close. People should also check out STP's MTV Unplugged.

It's great but doesn't hold a candle against Alice in Chains' in my opinion, seeing Layne's condition on that stage was a soul crushing experience.
