For me bands like Ved Buens Ende, Bal-Sagoth, Graveworm, Akercocke does as my summer black metal.

You guys gotta listen to "Und Pan spielt die Flöte" it's the perfect summer black metal song.
Now that I think about it you should listen to the entire album (both parts) it is pretty much perfect in every sense of the word for those who like their black metal a bit more varied.

About time someone else mentioned Graveworm around here considering I've been the only one that ever talks about them or bumps their threads lol. Their more recent stuff is decent, but their first 4 albums are essential symphonic bm.

Wow Winterrise is the oddest combo of soothing and chilling to the bone. That’s hard to make work and it’s fucking thought provoking. God I love that song.

Wolves and Sheep and Nostalgia are both more on the melodic/raw side of bm while Interludium is more ambient and atmospheric. All pretty solid and worth listening to but nothing amazing.
